World Environment Day

The company FCC and the Secretariat for Environmental Protection marked the World Environment Day (5 June) with a commemorative event that was held in the courtyard of the Cultural Centre, on Monday, June 5, 2017, and which began at 11 am.

Competition of primary schools and kindergartens in the collection of waste paper Čistunkom 2016/2017) organized by the FCC and the municipality of Kikinda has officially ended. 18 Kindergartens and 17 primary schools from the entire territory of the municipality of Kikinda participated in the action.

Within the action “Čistunko”, that was held from 1 September 2016 to 31 May 2017, there was collected 6.5 tons of waste paper. There was kept record, during the action, on collected amount on the basis of which there were elected winners in the first three places, in two categories. The first category is the ranking of the participants according to the total amount of collected paper and the other category is ranking according to the amount of collected paper per child or pupil.

We have prepared thank-you notes and awards for the winners in both categories for kindergartens and schools. The best primary school in the category of the total amount is the primary school Mora Karolj from Sajan, and in the category of the amount per pupil the winner is the primary school Mora Karolj from Sajan as well. The best Kindergarten in the category of the total amount and the amount per pupil is Silja from Novi Kozarci.

There were awarded prizes and thank-you notes for Eko Foto Competition 2017.

First prize was awarded to Emilia Sretenovic, a pupil in fourth grade of primary school “Jovan Popovic” from Kikinda, as well as to the school from which is the best work.
