FCC Mountain Clean Up 2020 at the Zauberberg Semmering resort

03/09/2020

We are living in unprecedented times, times that we could not have imagined just a short time ago. In recent months, the COVID pandemic has turned our world completely upside down. We had to make radical changes in our daily lives. For many of us, nature was a crucial part of relaxation.

Sadly, doing more outdoor activities also meant more rubbish, which some of us left behind when we went home.

And this is true of Zauberberg Semmering. The mountain has been a popular spot for years with nature lovers and outdoor activities enthusiasts, in winter and in summer. It allows us to get out every day in summer on bikes, mountain carts and scooters. But we also need to be aware that after all our fun activities, the mountain has to be cleaned up.

FCC Mountain Clean UpA traditional Mountain Clean Up event is taking place on 10  October, 2020 (NEW DATE!!!). The Freizeit und Sportverein Zauberberg leisure and sports club is organising a Clean Up that will enable everyone to do something for the environment. The event is being sponsored by FCC Neunkirchen Abfall Service GmbH, a longstanding partner of the Semmering Zauberberg ski area.

  • What? Mountain Clean Up Day
  • When? Saturday 10 October 2020
  • Where? Semmering Hirschenkogel

“Nature and a clean future are always the focus of our attention,” says Walter Pratscher, Operations Manager at FCC Neunkirchen Abfall Service GmbH. “As experts in waste, we would never miss an event like this.
