Slovak students in FCC Waste 2 Energy plant in Zistersdorf (Austria)

During two days in October (20-21.10.2016), students from municipality Dunajská Streda visited incinerator in Zistersdorf in Austria.

These students were winners in ecological CCSR project named “odpadNEŠ” focused on waste separation. During two months, students collected fast 40 tons of waste paper. During this project, schools were collecting waste paper, having ecological education and other eco activities.

Visiting Zistersdorf was very useful for students. They were able to see modern technology of incinerator and see difference between waste management in Slovakia and in Austria. The main diference is that in Slovakia, majority of waste is landfilled and in Austria waste is incinerated.
