FCC Zabrze: Modernization of the plant at Cmentarna Street started today

A completely new facility, where biological processes will be moved which until now were performed outside - this is the main element of modernization of the mechanical and biological waste treatment installation in Zabrze, which was started today.
“Today, just after 8 a.m., first heavy machines entered the construction site, as well as the employees of the General Contractor of construction works. The works were scheduled in such a way that first, six completely new compost ducts were installed, where the intensive composting process will be carried out.” - says Aldona Dydak, PR Manager of FCC Polska Sp. z o.o.

Modernization of the plant will allow complete air-tightening of the process of biological treatment of municipal waste. This includes, apart from the above new ducts, a new operating hall, passageway between the new and existing BIODEGMA compost ducts, modernization of the aforesaid ducts and a biofilter which will be used for cleaning the process air.
The project value will be PLN 15 million and it will be fully financed from the funds of FCC Environment CEE Group.
