FCC Environment CEE Group Achieves Strong Results in 2023 Despite Economic Challenges

Despite facing a slow start in the first quarter and navigating a challenging economic environment marked by high inflation and slowing GDP growth in key markets, FCC Environment CEE delivered a strong performance, exceeding expectations and achieving record revenues of 616M€ in 2023. Additionally, the CEE Group was able to maintain its profitability and increase efficiency.

“We are incredibly proud of the resilience and dedication our team demonstrated throughout 2023,” said Björn Mittendorfer, the CEO at FCC Environment CEE Group. “Despite facing an array of economic challenges, we achieved very good results and could strengthen our position as a leading environmental service provider in the region. Furthermore, our strong financial position and stability will allow investments into future-oriented projects in the forthcoming years.”

FCC Environment CEE successfully navigated a complex economic landscape characterized by double-digit inflation in markets like Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic, coupled with low or negative GDP growth. On the other hand, particularly the stabilization of the secondary raw material markets, the business development in the Czech Republic, and new partnerships in Hungary as well as prudent cost and price management contributed to the results of 2023.

Our video provides a quick recap of our most successful year to date.
