Reconstruction of the entrance to the premises of FCC Czech Republic in Brno will streamline logistics and help with protection of the nature
Since the beginning of this August, the FCC Czech Republic plant in Brno has been boasting a reconstructed access from the upper to the lower handling area. The construction works which were carried out within less than 4 months, allow redirecting of the maximum freight traffic to the premises using the entrance from Křtinská Street.
Due to the gradient and height difference in this area, large trucks have not yet been able to drive through the area and had to use a side entrance from Líšeňská Street. It will now be used minimally for freight transport, and this will relieve the adjacent chestnut alley that has been used for driving in so far.
Thanks to the new entrance to the Líšeňská area, we contribute to the protection of the chestnut alley in Malá Klajdovka. Since 1987 this alley has been on the list of memorable trees in the district of Brno-City. On this list there are trees of extraordinary stature, extraordinary age, having a special overall appearance, trees reminiscent of a certain historical event or legend, or those that are landscape landmarks or otherwise significantly contribute to the landscape or accompany a cultural monument (chapel, church, shrine, well).
