Social Impact at FCC Environment CEE
FCC Environment CEE contributes to social well‑being by delivering essential waste management services that protect public health, support cleaner communities, and foster sustainable urban living across Central and Eastern Europe. Our activities create stable employment for thousands of people, with a strong focus on health and safety, fair working conditions, and continuous skills development. Beyond our own workforce, we actively engage with local communities through transparent dialogue, ecological education, and support for local initiatives, helping to raise environmental awareness and strengthen trust where we operate. Through responsible operations and long‑term partnerships, we aim to create positive social value alongside environmental progress.
Community Involvement
We are an integral part of everyday life for people and businesses, doing our best to improve living conditions and create comfortable cities for citizens - cities for a good quality of life. We want to play a leading role in sustainable cities as a catalyst for citizens.
We are a part of the local communities, and we intend to support local projects, leading to sustainable development and an improved quality of life.
We see the process of increasing people's ecological awareness, especially the younger generations, as a vital part of our mission. For that purpose, we have created a system of ecological education which we implement in the communities where we provide our services to show children and adults alike how to use resources efficiently and how to behave sustainably. This program doesn‘t just teach the value of recycling, but also helps to generate over 3 million kg of recycling material annually, through organised events and competitions.
Ecological education is just one of our initiatives. You can learn more about this project, as well as other initiatives focused on biodiversity and environmental protection, through the links below.
