Corporate Development Manager – Focus Strategy and M&A (f/x/m)

Reporting to Head of Group Strategy & Development, you ensure long-term competitiveness and relevance of the Group by working closely with business leaders and group executives towards developing impactful strategies and driving organic and inorganic growth.

Your tasks:

• You collaborate closely with business leaders and group executives to develop and implement impactful strategies that ensure the long-term competitiveness and relevance of the Group.
• You keep an eye on global, regional and local trends in waste management, technological advancements, regulatory changes and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
• You develop company's overall strategic plan and assess portfolio of services and assets across different countries to identify areas for growth, divestment, or optimization.
• You explore partnership opportunities with other companies, municipalities, or organizations to enhance service offerings and expand market reach.
• You lead the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and other corporate development initiatives.
• You develop financial models and business cases to assess the feasibility and strategic fit of potential transactions.
• You conduct market research, identify acquisition targets, perform long-listing and short-listing based on strategic fit, lead negotiations, prepare NBO, perform DD, structure purchase agreements, and close the transaction.
• You develop post-merger integration plans to smoothly integrate acquired targets into the existing organizational structure.

Your Profile:

• Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, anticipate future trends, and develop innovative solutions
• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred
• Previous experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with a focus on strategy development and M&A
• Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex M&A transactions from inception to completion
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform detailed financial analysis and valuation assessments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

For this position we will offer a gross annual salary of at least EUR 75.000,-- for full-time employment. Depending on your qualifications, there is a willingness to make a higher payment. The position is subject to the collective labour agreement for employees in the freight transport industry.
