When an entrepreneur generates hazardous waste, they are responsible for it until it reaches the final management process, that is recovery (including recycling) or disposal. They are exempt from liability when a batch of waste transferred to an authorised entity is processed in the final recovery (recycling) or neutralisation (disposal) process. The waste catalogue is defined by ministerial regulation. Hazardous waste is listed therein by the source of its generation and its properties. In the catalogue hazardous waste is waste marked with a superscript in the form of an asterisk “*.”
