About Marija

I am Marija Vukobrat from Serbia, FCC Serbia. I have been working at FCC since November 2019 as a senior accountant in FCC Serbia headquarters located in Belgrade.

I am actively engaged in alpine mountain climbing, hiking mountains over 2000 -3000 meters above sea level. Doing this, I test myself and my capabilities because mountains build and strengthen character. I push my limits and set new goals and challenges. Simply put, on a hike you leave your ego behind, and you learn about yourself from the people who are with you, and you support each other.

That's how I compare myself today with myself from yesterday. That's the only way you can truly progress in life. Let that be my motto.

Challenges are what drive me forward because you get out of your comfort zone; you gain new knowledge. As the saying goes, "Minds are like parachutes, they only work when they are open".

My job is accounting. Some would say it’s a boring job, routine, just numbers. There is a joke that numbers can make you both happy and stressed 😊. On the contrary, finance is always very dynamic, which corresponds to my character and energy. It's always unpredictable and challenging so it's never boring.
