FCC CEE publishes Sustainability Snapshot 2025

FCC CEE publishes Sustainability Snapshot 2025

FCC CEE has published its second voluntary Sustainability Snapshot, providing an updated overview of the Group’s sustainability performance and activities across Central and Eastern Europe.

The Sustainability Snapshot 2025 builds on the foundation established with the previous report and represents another step towards greater transparency, stronger accountability, and more structured sustainability reporting within FCC CEE. The report has been prepared in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and consolidates information from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia.

From climate and circular economy to people and communities

The report covers the key environmental, social, and governance topics relevant to FCC CEE, including climate change, pollution, water and marine resources, biodiversity, resource use and circular economy, the Group’s workforce, affected communities, consumers and end-users, and business conduct.

The 2025 reporting cycle also reflects the continued development of sustainability reporting within the Group. Data quality and internal reporting processes have been further developed, while the report focuses primarily on quantitative information and changes compared with 2024.

Among the developments reported for 2025 are ongoing investments and initiatives related to photovoltaic installations, alternative-fuel and electric vehicles, landfill gas monitoring, waste utilisation and sorting technologies, environmental monitoring, and community engagement across FCC CEE countries.

The Snapshot also provides updated information on the Group’s energy consumption and mix, greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, resource use, and workforce. At the end of 2025, FCC CEE reported 4,616 employees across its countries.

A continuous process of improvement

As highlighted in the report, sustainability reporting is not a one-off exercise, but a continuous process of improvement. The Sustainability Snapshot 2025 therefore provides not only an overview of developments during the year, but also a basis for continuing to strengthen data quality, internal processes, and understanding of sustainability performance across FCC CEE.
