Our Green Event Philosophy
At FCC Environment CEE, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Large corporate events inevitably generate CO₂ e
missions—from travel to logistics. Through our Green Event Strategy, we take responsibility for these impacts by planting trees to offset emissions and create lasting benefits for local ecosystems.
Our goal is simple: reduce, compensate, and protect. Every tree we plant is a step toward climate neutrality and a greener future.
Tree Planting Locations
We have already planted dozens of trees across Central and Eastern Europe to compensate for event-related emissions:
- Zistersdorf, Austria – At our Waste-to-Energy plant, we planted 11 new trees in 2024, adding to the 15 planted in 2023.
- Zabrze, Poland – During InfoForum 2022, we planted 5 trees to offset emissions from the event.
- More sites coming soon
Each tree contributes to cleaner air, healthier soil, and stronger biodiversity.

Why Native Species Matter
We choose species typical of the region to support local ecosystems and biodiversity. Recent plantings include:
- Norway Maple (Acer platanoides)
- Silver Birch (Betula pendula)
- English Oak (Quercus robur)
- Large-leaved Linden (Tilia platyphyllos)
Native species thrive in local conditions, ensuring long-term sustainability and ecological balance.
Our Road to Sustainable Events
