Moje smeti - electronic registration of waste bins newly in Trnava, Slovakia
FCC Trnava, s.r.o. and the City of Trnava present a new online service for automatic monitoring of waste container emptying "Moje smeti" for cities and municipalities, which will be introduced in the second half of 2021 in cooperation with SENSONEO in some Trnava city districts with individual housing construction.
For efficient waste collection, it is ideal to have continuous information on the number of bins and the weight of waste in them. Based on this information, it is then possible to optimise collection routes and collection volumes. The new solution for automatic registration by scanning the so-called RFID chips (Radio Frequency Identification) placed directly on the bins or bags for sorted waste ensures automatic scanning of marked bins by special antennas placed on collection vehicles. The system monitors the emptying of each bin, including the weight of waste in it. The record-keeping software, which processes the collected data, enables further evaluation and optimisation of the daily management of the waste collection. In addition to municipalities, citizens will also have access to their own data via the free Citizen App mobile application.
The new solution has an attractive and user-friendly design for both municipalities and citizens. Both the web portal and the application are accessible from anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection. The system provides a detailed overview of exports for both the municipality and the citizen. Online data transfer from collection vehicles directly to the server enables faster data processing and generation of various types of evaluation reports.
